Light of The Dawn

There was a time when darkness swept your spirit
And you got tangled in a wave of fear and sorrow
The waves circled you in a monstrous invasion of emotions
You struggle to smile, to laugh, not wanting to give in to your inner monster
But deep down you are hurt, hating yourself, not knowing where to go
Inside, you are dead. Dead from surroundings. Dead from people... And silence is your best friend
-

You survive everyday by the good ol' memories
The ones that make you smile, that wakes you up everyday telling you,
"Hey you are still worthy! You can do this!"
You survive by words of kindness and sweetness
Telling you - you are more than just a living soul
And then you survived the day, waiting to face the next terror on the day after
-

The clock goes ticking, and suddenly the darkness open its wings
Smiling down under, the reality checks in
Whispering and chanting, eating you from within
No more positive vibes, only a rotten soul waiting to be seen
Eating your strength, passing through your veins
Till the tears finally broke free
-

As you sit and endure this painful, subconscious lullaby
To which, no body understood why;
The mind starts to overpower your emotions
Good versus evil, white versus black, up versus down
A whirling battle to convince the soul
-

The ever-changing solitude finally come to senses
Dear you, have you forgotten Allah's promises?
"Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere" (Surah Al-Baqara, 155)
The promise of paradise for an exchange of perseverance
Control of emotion for an eternity of jouissance
Have you forgotten that my friend?
-

Oh Allah, how did I become a servant to your creation?
The sky, the earth, the air and even humans
Are all your creations; none are above your sanctity
They don't deserve my self-pity
-

My friend, always remember this
"Allah does not charge a soul except (with that within) its capacity..." (Surah Al-Baqara, 286)
Allah knows your potential, He knows your limits
He's the 'director', He knows your needs
No matter how dark the sky can be
No matter how deep the ocean is
The sky can always turn blue
The ocean can always lost its dark hue
